Description

On National Junior Ranger Day, the park rangers of Hopewell Culture want you to come and become a junior ranger and learn all about the earthworks and the practices of the culture.

We will be offering our traditional Junior Ranger booklet along with our Junior Archeology activity booklet.

If you are feeling extra ambitious the Junior Angler and Night Sky Explore activity booklets will also be available.

Come by the Mound City visitor center between 10am -3 pm while supplies last to explore, learn, and protect!

**Minimal contact information tables will allow for further exploration. (weather permitting)

Masks will be required. To protect the health of those who live, work, and visit our national parks and facilities, and in support of the President’s Executive Order on Protecting the Federal Workforce and Requiring Mask-Wearing, face masks are now required in all NPS buildings and facilities. Masks are also required on NPS-managed lands when physical distancing cannot be maintained, such as narrow or busy trails, overlooks, and parking lots.

Portable restrooms will be available outdoors.

The Mound City Visitor Center is located at 16062 OH-104, Chillicothe, OH.  Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and in response to guidance from local, state, and national public health officials, the Mound City Group Visitor Center at Hopewell Culture National Historical Park remains closed. Trails and parking areas remain open and accessible to the public
