Dark Night Sky: Connecting the Past to the Present

Experience the dark night sky just as the earliest inhabitants and visitors did. Learn about the importance of dark night sky preservation, view a laser guided tour of the brightest stars and planets in the cosmos, and spend time viewing dark sky objects through provided telescopes and binoculars.
Duration: 1 hour to 1.5 hours
All ages are welcome
Please bring your own chairs or blankets
Temperatures after dark can fall significantly from daytime.
 
Social distancing is encouraged, there will be enough space for people to spread out.
Telescopes will be cleaned/sanitized between groups.
Programs may be cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions.
