Description
This annual event recognizes the completion of the Twelve Days of Christmas, which was a major celebration during St. Louis’s French colonial era. This year’s ball will highlight music and dances from the 1770s. The event is free and open to all visitors. It will feature esteemed culinary historian Suzanne Corbett demonstrating traditional cooking techniques and sharing samples, and talented singer and musician Dennis Stroughmatt performing traditional fiddle tunes, mostly in Creole French. Living history performers dressed in 1770s attire will perform dances popular in St. Louis during that time.
