Death Valley '49ers Encampment
To attend the ’49ers Encampment and participate in the activities, you must purchase a membership. Your annual membership is an “all events” pass to the Encampment except for special events that may be offered. Since we have limited volunteers to staff our membership booth at the encampment we are asking that you purchase your membership online prior to the encampment. This will also give us an estimate of attendance for planning purposes.
The Death Valley '49ers Encampment is a multi-day event that focuses on Death Valley and Western history, lore, music, and art.
The Encampment includes a vendor/exhibition fair, guest speakers about history and geology, Western music performances, cowboy poetry, star gazing, etc.
Fees
The fee is a Death Valley '49ers membership, which costs $100 for a single membership and $125.00 for a family membership. They are offering a discount for early payment for your membership. If the membership fee is paid by August 1st, 2026, the single membership is $75 and a family membership is $100.
