Description

Join a ranger from Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument for an evening program under the stars. As a certified Dark Sky Sanctuary, we are dedicated to preserving and showcasing the pristine darkness that can only be found in a handful of special places.

Our program will begin at 8:00pm. We will explore the importance of the dark sky for plants, animals, and people and how we can all be stewards of the stars. The program will end with stargazing and telescope viewings.
