Description

On Thursday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m. CDT / 11:30 a.m. EDT, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) is pleased to host National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom Staff and the 400 Years of African American History Commission for an Information Session about the 2022 Grants. While we cannot read your applications in full prior to submission, the ASALH, Network to Freedom, and 400 Years of African American History Commission teams will be available to answer questions about the application itself and/or the application process.

This year, two kinds of grants are available: one for existing Network to Freedom members looking to complete a project (Project Grants), and one for the general public to complete a Network to Freedom application (New Application Grants). During this info session, the team will provide a general overview about applying for Network to Freedom Grants in general. Then, we will split into two groups: one dedicated to discussing the Project Grant application process, and one dedicated to discussing the New Application Grants application process.

The session will be recorded and made available on the ASALH website.

Please register in advance for this meeting by following this link. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. To keep the event secure, please do not forward the connection information to others.

Please feel free to send your questions to us in advance by emailing network_to_freedom@nps.gov. Please indicate in the email itself that you are hoping to see your question answered during the session.

The applications are due Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:59 EDT.
