Description
Stop by the Yosemite Museum (Yosemite Village, shuttle stop 5) for Obata’s Yosemite: His Legacy. Our Future. This special exhibit showcases original Obata pieces in Yosemite’s collection alongside the works of local students and Obata Art Weekend workshop artists.
This special exhibit will be on display throughout August.
Obata Art Weekend (August 22 – 24)
Join us in celebrating the extraordinary life of Japanese American artist Chiura Obata, including his watercolor and woodblock prints of Yosemite and his writings on "Great Nature.” This weekend will include artist workshops, guest speakers, ranger talks, interactive art, and a special exhibit of Obata's Yosemite works.
