Description
The Bobbin Girl is the story of Rebecca Putney who is a 10-year who works in the hot, dusty, noisy mills of Lowell in the 1830s. This book is written and illustrated by Emily McCully who evokes an era when American women stunned the world.
This storytime is appropriate for all ages, but we especially invite 3rd and 4th graders to join us as this book aligns with the Tsongas Industrial History Center's Change in the Making program.
This program will last approximately one half-hour. Listen or read along and feel free to post questions in the comments.
This storytime will take place on the Lowell National Historical Park, Tsongas Industrial History Center, and Lowell Kid's Week pages. To tune in simply visit one of the links below at 2 p.m. EST.
