Experience the park after dark!

Nighttime in Big Thicket is mysterious, beautiful, and full of wonder. Join us at the visitor center to celebrate and explore nighttime in the forest.

Park rangers will be on hand with free activities for all ages:

  • Look for planets and bright stars through a telescope
  • Search for bats and learn how scientists help them
  • Take a night hike on the Longleaf Pine Trail
  • Earn a Junior Ranger Night Explorer Patch

Bring a flashlight!

All ages and abilities are welcome. ASL interpreters will be available.
