Description

Talkin' Jazz with Fred Kasten

featuring

Lena Prima

The New Orleans Jazz National Historical is proud to partner with the French Market Corporation and WWNO (89.9 FM in New Orleans) to produce Talkin' Jazz with Fred Kasten in the continuance of our three day celebration of St. Patrick and St. Joseph days.

Today's interview features Award-winning singer Lena Prima who is the youngest daughter of music icon and New Orleans native, Louis Prima and his singing sidekick (and fifth wife) Gia Maione. A Las Vegas native, Lena spent much of her childhood in her father’s hometown of New Orleans, where she now resides and performs regularly.  With seven albums to her credit, her sixth and seventh on Basin Street Records topping the Billboard Jazz Album charts, and her seventh making the TOP 50 ALBUMS in LOUISIANA list, Lena is a seasoned veteran of the music industry and is rooted in the music of the Crescent City.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the following session of Talkin' Jazz with Fred Kasten.
