Forge new memories at Catoctin Mountain Park! 

Join our resident blacksmith in our New Deal Era blacksmith shop as he demonstrates the skills necessary for molding and repairing tools, hardware, and household items that were important to everyday life in Appalachia. Learn about the role of the "smithy" in the creation of Catoctin Mountain Park and of their influence on mountain communities. 

This live demonstration will be held at the Round Meadow Blacksmith Shop from 11:00am to 2:00pm every last Saturday of the month from May to October.
