221st Anniversary of the Hamilton-Burr Duel

Join us at the Hamilton Grange on Saturday, July 12, at 12 noon, to commemorate the 221st anniversary of the duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, and Alexander Hamilton's subsequent death. Park Rangers will explore Hamilton and Burr's long relationship as well as the complicated social rules that made men think that dueling was a good way to resolve conflicts. Park Rangers will also present a dramatic reading of the final letters between Hamilton and Burr that led to their fateful meeting 221 years ago. This is a free event!
