Activities and Programs

10:00 am – 3:00 pm | The Flags that Were Flown | Library

Join museum staff as they display and discuss flags from museum collections that are not currently in the exhibits.

10:00 am – 11:30 am | Caravan Tour: Flags in the Field | Meet at Visitor Center

Experience the history of the battlefield at multiple stops along the tour road. A park ranger will lead the way and provide details about the significance of sites throughout the battlefield including discussion of flags on the field in honor of flag day. Plan to drive from stop to stop and for the tour to last approximately one hour and half.

1:00 pm – 1:30 pm |Ranger Talk| Visitor Center

Join a ranger at the visitor center to take a deep dive into a topic connected to the Battle of Wilson's Creek. Please check back for more information.

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm |Design a Unit Flag Craft |Visitor Center

After viewing the flags from collections, join a ranger to design a paper flag to represent your unit, whether that be your family, friend group, or yourself!

 

We do our best to ensure participants of all abilities can join. The car caravan tour can be adapted based on mobility needs of the group. For questions or requests related to accessibility, please call the accessibility coordinator at 417-366-9145.
