Follow a Lighthouse Keeper on his rounds on this bottom to top tour of the Fire Island Lighthouse. Learn how lighthouse keepers past and present maintain the light. This bottom- to-top tour takes you from the auxiliary generator and Light Keeper’s workshop in the basement of the Keeper’s Quarters to the beacon in the lantern room of the lighthouse tower. This program includes a tour of the Lens Building which houses the historic first order Fresnel lens. Reservations required. Space is limited.
