Description

Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park will have a pop-up informational table at the Kernstown Battlefield on Saturday, July 27 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Park rangers will be available with junior ranger books, educational activities, and information about ranger-led programs. 

This is part of a two-day weekend event hosted by the Kernstown Battlefield Association (KBA). This Living History Weekend is presented by Civil War Historical Impressions (CWHI) to commemorate the 160th Anniversary of the 2nd Battle of Kernstown on July 27th and 28th. The rout of Union forces at 2nd Kernstown was the last Confederate victory in the 1864 Valley Campaign.

The Kernstown Battlefield will be open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday, July 27 and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 28. The event will be held rain or shine. The Kernstown Battlefield is located at 610 Battle Park Drive, Winchester, Va.
