In celebration of the National Park Service birthday on Sunday, August 25th, we are celebrating all weekend. Come celebrate the National Park Service birthday at the Charles Young Buffalo Soldiers National Monument on Saturday, August 24th, 2024.
Buffalo Soldiers in the National Parks (Ranger Talk) at 11 am
Join a Park Ranger for a 45-minute talk and discover the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers in our National Parks and how their contribution across the American landscape continues to be captured and preserved for future generations to learn and explore.
National Park Service Birthday Hat Making (Ranger Activity) from 2 pm to 4:30 pm
Join a Park Ranger from 2 pm - 4:30 pm and make your own National Park Service Birthday Hat! This activity is for kids of all ages. Bring your creativity and celebrative attitudes!
