A Guided Hike - Journey Through the History of Rush: Zinc Ore or Bust

Join a ranger at Rush and explore the former mining town (now ghost town) for a short 1/4 mile walk around the once booming community. Participants will learn about the zinc mining that took place in the narrow valley, the mark Rush made on history, and what is now left. 

Please wear sturdy footwear and bring water and bug spray. 

The ranger will meet visitors at the Rush Morning Star Interpretive Loop Parking Lot at 9:00 am. For specific directions please call the Buffalo Point Ranger Station at 870-449-4311.
