Flag Retreat Ceremony, Especially for Junior Rangers and Veterans

Join us at the end of our Visitor Center day as we lower, or 'retreat' the colors at our monument flagpole. 

We love sharing this important process with our new Junior Rangers. Help the kids in your travel group learn to respect the flag and those who served our country in uniform, by letting them practice flag etiquette. 

Veterans of the U.S. armed forces are warmly welcome to observe and participate.
