"Time Flies" GGNRA 50th Anniversary Kite Flying!
In October 2022 GGNRA celebrated its 50th anniversary as a National Park. The celebration continues this Spring!
- On Sunday, March 19th come out to Rodeo Beach in the Marin Headlands between 9am - 12pm for some celebratory kite flying and kite decorating!
- Kite kits will be given out to the first 50 guests (free of charge and yours to keep!)
- All ages welcome!
- Decorate your kite by writing/drawing some of your favorite memories made in GGNRA (supplies will be provided)
- Fly your kite proudly on Rodeo Beach in celebration and in community with other GGNRA park goers!
- Chat with NPS Interpretive Park Rangers from the Marin Headlands about GGNRA's 50 year history!
- Games, special demonstrations, updated maps/brochures, and fun times provided!
- Please dress in layers as the weather at Rodeo Beach can fluctuate...
- Feel free to bring your own kite if you have one you'd like to add to our colorful display of provided kites.
