Description
Back by popular demand, Cape Lookout National Seashore (a certified International Dark Sky Park), in partnership with the Crystal Coast Stargazers, and Island Express Ferry Service welcomes night sky enthusiasts to join us for a Starlight Cruise to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM.
The starlight cruise will leave from Cape Lookout Visitors Center, 1800 Island Road, Harkers Island. Experience the exceptional quality of the night skies in an International Dark Sky Park and the nighttime treasure of Cape Lookout Lighthouse. While at the lighthouse, Bob Harrison, a NASA Solar System Ambassador will provide a laser pointed tour describing the celestial objects of the night sky from the beach.
Ferry departs Visitors Center 6:30 PM; Departing Lighthouse at approximately 10:15 PM.
The cruise is by reservation only. Please call Island Express Ferry Service (252-728-7433) to book your tickets!
