Winter Film Festival: Captains Courageous

Cape Cod National Seashore will kick off its annual winter film festival on Sunday, January 7, with the theme, “Maritime Movie Classics”. The films will show on six consecutive Sundays at 1:30 pm on the theatre-size screen at Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham. The festival is co-sponsored by the Friends of Cape Cod National Seashore.

 

Details for February 4: Captains Courageous (1 hr. 57 min.) When spoiled Harvey Cheyne is suspended from boarding school, his businessman father takes him to Europe on a business trip. When the rebellious lad falls overboard from the steamship, he is saved from death by humble fisherman Manuel Fidello and forced by the captain of the fishing schooner to become a low-ranking member of the ship’s crew.
