Tour the constellations and explore the night sky through this laser-guided talk and telescope viewing! Timber Creek Overlook is an incredible place to see the dark skies of Zion National Park.
Plan accordingly to be out after dark. Bring your own red light source. White Lights are NOT allowed. Be sure to dress for cooler night time temperatures as well. Talk to a ranger at the visitor center or visit our website to learn how to prepare for stargazing.
This program takes place outdoors on a paved surface. There is no provided seating, so plan to bring your own chairs or blankets.
Parking is limited, and the program is full when parking at the viewpoint is full. If it is cloudy, the program will start and end as planned. If it is raining, or if thunder is heard within 30 minutes of the program start time, the program will be canceled.
Accessible parking and vault toilets are available at the program location. For more information about program accessibility, talk to a ranger at the visitor center.
Park at the Timber Creek Overlook parking lot. Timber Creek Overlook is found at the end of Kolob Canyons Road. Parking and vault toilets are available at the trailhead. Kolob Canyons is located an hour drive from Zion Canyon, at Exit 40 on Interstate 15.
