Description
Cape Cod National Seashore will kick off its annual winter film festival on Sunday, January 7, with the theme, “Maritime Movie Classics”. The films will show on six consecutive Sundays at 1:30 pm on the theatre-size screen at Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham. The festival is co-sponsored by the Friends of Cape Cod National Seashore.
Details for January 7: Moby Dick (1 hr. 56 min.) A tale as old as time, Captain Ahab has a vendetta against Moby Dick, the great white whale responsible for taking his leg. He sets out on a treacherous sea voyage aboard The Pequod, along with a crew including Starbuck, Father Mapple, and Ishmael to hunt down the elusive beast.
Salt Pond Visitor Center is located at the intersection of Route 6 and Nauset Road in Eastham and can be contacted by calling 508-255-3421. The visitor center is open from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
