Campfire Talk: Cedar Hill and Frederick Douglass' Final Years
Enjoy the peace and quiet of sunset at Greenbelt Park next to a roaring campfire under the tree canopy. Join a park ranger from the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site for a talk about the great abolitionist Frederick Douglass who enjoyed his later years living at his home in Washington DC, only 14 miles from Greenbelt Park. The talk will focus on Douglass' final years at his home called Cedar Hill.
The event is open to registered campers and park guests. It will take place in campground loop B at the campfire circle (follow the signs). You are welcome to bring your own marshmallows!
