Find out who Fort Hancock was named after, and it was not John Hancock.  General Winfield Scott Hancock was the namesake of Fort Hancock in Sandy Hook. Join the Park Historian for a presentation about W.S. Hancock’s life as a United States Army officer during the Civil War and his Democratic race for President of the United States in 1880.
