The Visitor Center parking lot and gate will remain open until 11 PM on the evening of the event.

Description

The Night Sky program is guided by volunteer astronomers from the Colorado Springs Astronomical Society (CSASTRO). The volunteers begin the event with a presentation about the night sky. After the presentation, visitors are provided with an intimate viewing experience of different heavenly bodies through telescopes provided by the CSASTRO astronomers.

The Visitor Center and museum will remain open during the event until 10:30 PM.

Please dress warm for the event. Nighttime temperatures can be uncomfortably cold above 8,000ft (2438m), even during the summer months.
