Morgan Horse Ranch Open House

Point Reyes National Seashore

  • Free

Visit the Morgan Horse Ranch anytime between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm to meet the Morgan Horses that call Point Reyes home and participate in the variety of ranch activities listed below.

Additionally, during this month's Open House we will be celebrating the life of our recently passed patrol horse Elvis. Born here in 1999, Elvis was one of the last horses in the Los Reyes line, and spent the vast majority of his life helping park rangers and volunteers patrol Point Reyes National Seashore. Known for his great hair, gentle spirit and stubborn streak, Elvis was loved by many over the decades. If you knew or met Elvis, please feel free to bring photos, mementos or stories. If you feel so inclined, there will be time to share during a brief celebration at 12:00pm.

  • Watch riding and ground-training demonstrations by rangers.
