Description

National Trails Day is the nation’s largest trails event, with millions participating across the country, pledging to care for our public lands. The event will take place between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. in Glen Haven. A park pass is required to participate.

To participate, visit the Friends tent set up on Heritage Trail to register. Participants will receive the Friends’ hiking trail guide, fun stickers and swag from the American Hiking Society (while supplies last.) Participants will also learn about additional opportunities to support the Park and volunteer with the Friends. This is a registered event in partnership with the American Hiking Society.

The National Trails Day event is a fantastic opportunity for family and friends to get out and enjoy the Park.

There is also an Adopt a Beach clean up located at Good Harbor. Both events are open to existing volunteers, their families, friends, the community and visitors.
