Home on the Wilson Ranch

Explore Homer Wilson's Ranch on a guided ranger walk. Come learn about the beauty and hardship of ranching in Big Bend Country and the unique challenges ranchers faced daily as well as the beautiful camaraderie and experiences they had during their time out west. 

Hike is approximately 1 mile on a dirt and gravel trail. The trail descends a relatively steep hill down to the valley where the linecamp house is located. Wear sturdy shoes, a hat, and bring water.

Location

The Homer Wilson Ranch is located 7.7 miles from the northern end of the Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive. Parking is available at the trailhead.
