Join us at Chalmette Battlefield on Veterans Day, November 11th, for a moving tribute honoring the many stories of service, sacrifice and courage that unite our nation’s veterans. Bring your family and friends for an evening of remembrance and reflection as we honor our veterans and celebrate the legacy they leave for us all.

The event is part of the Great American Expedition and Freedom 250 celebrations. More than 2,000 luminarias will illuminate the battlefield, representing the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our nation.

Beyond the luminarias on the battlefield, there will be special illuminations of the Chalmette Monument, the Malus-Beauregard House, and the American flag as we reflect on the people that have shaped our nation's story more than most others. A special audio tour will be available on our park website for the commemoration event. QR codes will be provided.
