Camels first appeared at El Morro in 1857 as part of a U.S. military experiment to cross the desert between Texas and California. This fun and educational event features activities for both kids and adults, offering an incredible opportunity to learn about camels and their journey across the Southwest. This event will feature LIVE camels! Camel expert Doug Baum will be offering programs throught the day, presenting a unique opportunity to learn more about these fascinating creatures. If you've never seen or been close to a camel, this is your chance!
