Description

Join a park ranger for a moderately strenuous, 1-mile guided snowshoe walk at Hurricane Ridge.
 
Elevation gain: ~130 feet
Duration: 1.5 hours

Snowshoes are provided. Bring warm layers, hat, gloves, sunglasses, and waterproof boots.

If the Hurricane Ridge Road is closed, walks are cancelled.

For the status of the Hurricane Ridge Road, call 360-565-3131 before your trip. Weather permitting, the Hurricane Ridge Road is scheduled to be open Fridays-Sundays and holiday Mondays. The road may close with short notice due to severe weather or unsafe conditions. All vehicles traveling to the Ridge in the winter, including 4-wheel drive, are required to carry tire chains. Parking is limited. The road may close temporarily if the parking lot fills.

First-come, first-served registration begins at the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center information desk at 1:00pm, 30 minutes before the walk. Walk is limited to 12 participants.
