You can't spell Earth without ART!

On Saturday, April 25th, come join park rangers at the Chalmette Battlefield in celebrating two of their favorite things: national parks, and creativity! In honor of Earth Day and Freedom 250, seek inspiration in a beautiful natural setting as we all enjoy creating some beautiful works of art.

National parks and their stories have long-inspired many artists to capture the beauty they have observed, in many mediums. Whether you're a photographer, a writer, a painter, or anything in between, you're invited to come join in the fun. All skill levels are encouraged and celebrated.

Supplies for watercolor painting and acrylic painting, as well as colored pencils, markers and crayons will be provided. You can also bring your own preferred supplies!

This event is free to attend.

Location

Art stations will be set up in the picnic area behind the visitor center. If inclement weather is in the area, the art stations will be moved inside of the visitor center.
