Description
This program has been postponed from February 4 to February 25, due to severe winter weather.
Join Ranger Shelton Johnson for a program focused on the power of telling untold stories, using history as a lesson. He will recount African American military legacy in Yosemite, Sequoia, the Presidio of San Francisco, Hawai'i Volcanos, Klondike Goldrush, Glacier National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. He will explore how this legacy counters the prevailing view, within both the African American Community and the world at-large, that National Parks are not part of African American history, and that African American history has nothing to do with our National Parks.
