Description

Join Point Reyes National Seashore and Point Reyes National Seashore Association staff for a beach clean-up day at Drakes Beach in celebration of National Park Week!

With the elephant seal breeding season being over, we need your help to clean-up litter that has washed up on shore over the winter season. Learn about the importance of proper waste management and become familiar with diverse wildlife that relies on a healthy shoreline to thrive!

We will provide all the trash pick-up tools, but participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle and snacks. Note that the weather in Point Reyes can quickly change throughout the day so be sure to bring layers and wear closed-toe shoes.

This event is open to everyone and no advance registration is required, but we encourage signing-up ahead of time. You can also email the project coordinator Cristobal Castañeda to sign up or if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!
