Hands-On History: Weaving Workshop
Join Lowell National Historical Park and the Tsongas Industrial History Center for an afternoon of hands-on history! Learn how to weave on a loom and find out how cloth was made by hand. Use the art of weaving in some make and take activities for all ages.
Connect, Create, and Discover! Lowell National Historical Park and the Tsongas Industrial History Center are excited to offer hands-on workshops monthly for everyone to come and experience history by doing! Bring the whole family down to the Boott Cotton Mills and use our educational workshop spaces to discover the Industrial Revolution and its legacies. Activities are appropriate for all ages. Drop in any time from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Lowell National Historical Park visitors may park at the Hamilton Canal Innovation District (HCID) parking garage at 350 Dutton Street. Parking in this garage is available to National Park visitors at no cost provided they obtain a valid parking voucher at the Visitor Center (246 Market Street). It is a 15 minute walk to the Boott Cotton Mills from the HCID garage. There is paid parking available at the John Street Garage across the street from the Boott Cotton Mills.
