The Cherokee Treaty Party: Courage and Controversy

On Saturday, May 16, at 2pm, Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will present a special ranger-led talk exploring the Treaty Party and their departure from their native homeland. This program will be conducted at the entrance to the Browns Ferry Federal Road Trail at 700 Moccasin Bend Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405, There is free parking at this site, but no seating. We recommend bringing a lawn chair along with water and sunscreen.
 
Cherokee Removal is one of our nation’s most sensitive subjects. Many question how, why, and when did this happen? Please join us as we explore these topics and delve more into the conversation between the minority Treaty Party and the vast majority National Party of the Cherokee Nation.
