Description
The Sons of Union Veterans Ulysses S. Grant Camp #68, in partnership with Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, will conduct a death commemoration ceremony to mark 140 years since President Grant’s passing on July 23, 1885. The program includes speeches and a wreath laying ceremony. This event will take place outdoors. It will be followed by a presentation in the park's theater at 11 am by noted Grant historian, Brooks Simpson. In addition, a special exhibit covering Grant's death and funeral will be on display in the museum for the month of July.
The event is free and no reservations are required.
