Arts in the Park - Paint & Sketch

Wilson's Creek National Battlefield

  • Jun 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM
  • Free
The events of the Civil War, including the Battle of Wilson's Creek, have inspired artists for more than a century to create sketches, paintings, and sculptures that aim to communicate the tragedy of war.

Join park staff and volunteers in the visitor center on June 7th, from 10 am to 3 pm, to view a temporary gallery of art from the museum collections. Afterwards, head out into the battlefield and create a painting or sketch at three pop-up locations throughout the battlefield.

From 1 pm - 2:30 pm there will be a guided flower painting activity with a local artist at the visitor center.

The event is free and no pre-registration is required
