Volunteer with the park and the Walpack Historical Society for #NationalTrailsDay!
Volunteers and staff will be cleaning up the Military Road Trail! This trail is a historic former road used by soldiers during the French and Indian War and the American Revolution.
Please RSVP on Volunteer.gov by following the ticket link on this event listing.
Light paperwork will be filled out the day of the event. Duties will include lifting objects, clearing brush, and removing trash. Dress appropriately for outdoor work, including closed toed shoes, long sleeves, and long pants. Water, snacks, and insect repellant are highly recommended. Safety gear and necessary tools will be provided.
Stick around after the event to learn some history about the trail and receive a tour of historic buildings in Walpack Center! All ages are welcome!
Walpack Center is located on Route 615 in Walpack Township, NJ. Cell service can be unreliable while in the park, so make sure you have directions saved or written down ahead of time.
