Description

In 1780, five years into the Revolutionary War, the outcome of the war was uncertain as British forces occuppied many major American cities and ports. An alliance between American forces and the French saw 5,000 French soldiers under the command of General Rochambeau travel across the Atlantic to assist the American war effort. In 1871, General Washington and Rochambeau's troops marched from New York to Yorktown, VA to what would become a decisive battle in the war.

Join a park ranger to learn more about the march that helped to change the course of the Revolutionary War. The program will began at the Telegraph Pavilion parking lot.
