"The 6.1 mile course is described as "challenging but beautiful" and is located on the grounds of the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. The 2018 course will be very similar to the past three years. The start and finish this year will both be at the Forest Center. The course travels along the scenic vistas and soft carriage trails in the National Park, over a pine needle path through a stand of red spruce trees with views to Mount Ascutney, a loop around the Pogue (14 acre pond) and a run to the south peak of Mount Tom overlooking historic Woodstock Village.

The 1.8 mile gentle downhill to the finish is popular among the runners.  The finish area is accessible to families and friends hoping to share in the experience of the race."
