Description

Join the National Park Service for a series of digital offerings in celebration of the 203rd Anniversary of the Birth of Frederick Douglass. With the recent inauguration of a new President and the transition from one administration to another, we have selected for our birthday theme this year: "Frederick Douglass, Presidential Advisor".  Join us as we explore the unique role that Frederick Douglass played as an advisor to President Abraham Lincoln and others, and the official jobs that Douglass held from Presidential appointments.

The event will be held virtually on Saturday, February 13th and Sunday, February 14th, and will include historical videos.  Video content will be available here on our website at: Multimedia Presentations - Frederick Douglass National Historic Site (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) and will also be released on our site's Facebook page: www.facebook.com/FrederickDouglassNHS.
