Holidays at the Tavern
For generations, the Great Falls Tavern at C&O Canal hosted gatherings and festivities. Join us in kicking off the winter season by exploring holiday traditions and sharing in the spirit of community, both past and present. Come enjoy a day of holiday music, crafts, and a celebration of community!
Schedule of Events:
9:00 am - 4:00 pm: Holiday Crafts - Learn about centuries-old holiday traditions and make your own stockings, candlelight ornaments. View and add to our community table that celebrates traditions from our local community and around the world.
10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Holiday Music Performance – Musicians will fill the Great Falls Tavern with traditional 19th century songs on the dulcimer
10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Light refreshments will be served by the Friends of the Great Falls Tavern
10:00 am - 3:00: Greeting Cards with a Ranger – Join a park ranger and make your own holiday greeting card!
Please note that all programs are available on a first come, first served basis and while supplies last. The event will be taking place at the Great Falls Tavern Visitor Center in Potomac, MD.
