Autumn and Apples: National Public Lands Day at Hopewell Furnace
Join us at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site for National Public Lands Day. Work alongside staff to:
- Plant trees and remove invasive plant species
- Replace fence around the beloved barnyard
- Whitewash the Ironmaster’s Garden Fence
- Pick up litter and trash along the park boundaries

Afterwards spend the afternoon learning about the historic apple orchard with family-friendly activities and crafts. You can even pick your own apples ($1/pound)!

Registration opens at 8:30 am. A safety briefing for ALL volunteers will be held at 9:00 am followed by the service projects.
