Autumn and Apples: National Public Lands Day at Hopewell Furnace

Join us at Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site for National Public Lands Day. Work alongside staff to:

  • Plant trees and remove invasive plant species
  • Replace fence around the beloved barnyard
  • Whitewash the Ironmaster’s Garden Fence
  • Pick up litter and trash along the park boundaries

 

Afterwards spend the afternoon learning about the historic apple orchard with family-friendly activities and crafts. You can even pick your own apples ($1/pound)!
