Full Moon Hike: Hurricane Hill

Olympic National Park

  • Every day at 8:30 PM from August 11, 2022 to August 12, 2022
  • Free

As the sun sets and the moon rises, hike at your own pace along this 1.6-mile (one way) paved trail, climbing 700 ft to the top of Hurricane Hill. An astronomer will interpret the night sky. Bring sturdy and dress warmly—evenings in the montains can be cool, even in summer. Meet at the Hurricane Hill Trailhead, 1.5 miles past the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center.

Astronomy and Night Sky programs at Olympic National Park are made possible by the generous support from Washington's National Park Fund (WNPF). To learn more about WNPF and their efforts to preserve and protect Washington’s cherished national parks, please visit https://wnpf.org.
