A virtual tour exploring the sacred and spiritual aspects of the African Burial Ground National Monument and the symbols around the Circle of the Diaspora. Presented by Dr. Patricia Leonard
Dr. Patricia Maame Ama Leonard is an educator and world traveler with special interest in the textile arts and spiritual traditions in West African and African Diaspora societies. She is the founder of Sankofa House Education which develops and presents lectures and media programs for teens, young adults, and lifetime learners. A former Public Educator and transitional administrator at the African Burial Ground, Dr. Leonard maintains a private residence in the West African country of Ghana and
is the author of Nigga Please!!! Remember Who You Were Before You Were Told Who You Should Be which offers a basic metaphysical model for re-imagining one of America's most enduring dilemmas.
