Description
Join Homestead National Historical Park for Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures. Our Winter Festival remembers the rich heritage and celebrates the cultures of those who settled the Great Plains as well as the cultural traditions that precede the Homestead Act.
On Sunday, December 17, at 2 p.m., Paper Moon Pastries will join us to celebrate holiday baking traditions and to help with the Palmer-Epard Baking Competition at the Education Center as part of our Winter Festival celebration.
The Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures features decorated trees and tabletop displays featuring ornaments and hand-made crafts that reflect the spirit of hope, humor, traditions, and generosity which characterized winter celebrations on the Great Plains.
