Candle Making Living History Program

Step Back in Time at Fort Vancouver!

Join us on Saturday, February 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a hands-on Candle Making Living History Program at the reconstructed Hudson’s Bay Company Fort!

Learn how people at Fort Vancouver lit their homes and workplaces in the 1800s while you participate in making traditional candles using historic techniques. Interpreters will share stories about the daily lives of the kitchen staff and labors. This interactive experience is great for families and those interested in the fur trade era.
