Description
Why wait until summer to recreate outside? These ranger-guided snowshoe hikes are geared towards women who are looking to try a winter recreation activity in a comfortable, inclusive environment. Never tried snowshoeing before? That’s okay, women of all ages and skill levels are welcome!
Each week a ranger will guide the group along a trail in Castle Rocks State Park or City of Rocks National Reserve. Come by yourself, or bring some friends. Meet at the Visitor Center around 9:45 am and we will caravan to the day’s trailhead in CIRO or CRSP.
Snowshoes will be provided, or you can bring your own. All you need to do is dress in layers and wear snow boots or waterproof hiking boots.
Please register in advance. Participants may register by calling Kate at 208-824-5916 or emailing kate_yeater@partner.nps.gov. The registration fee is $10 per person, and each hike is limited to 15 participants.
